What we need is a littele bit of light…

I am a freelance photographer from Kirkkonummi.
We started fotography with my sister in the year 1968.
All began so that we both broke our Postbanks biggies.
I was ten years old and my sister was one year younger,
and with this “biggie money” we traveled by bus to the nearest village wich was Pälkäne,
and we bought cameras for ourselves. My first camera was Leitz.
My sister became a professional photographer.
My point of view at taking pictures is allways artistic.
Finding art and its appearance by using light and shadow.
I take pictures about everything in purpose to find beauty with light and shadow.
This is a lifetime path and endless studying target
Without light there is nothing…No colours…

My motto is: " Work is the key to creative growth of the mind"
(This sentence stands in the memorial stone at the graveyard of the
 famous Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen)

I make also short films and video documents
where I follow these same principles, however so that in the film ,
story line can be longer and there must be a beginning ,middelepoint and the end.
